こだわり①：フィリピン産であること（Pro-Philippines）
創業者のAnna Meloto-Wilkさんが、「Human Nature」を立ち上げようと思ったときのこと。
ココナッツやエレミ（フィリピンに自生する樹木）、サトウキビ、アロエなど、美容製品やパーソナルケア製品の多くの成分が、フィリピンで豊富に手に入る熱帯植物であることに気がつきました。
フィリピン産の原材料を使い、フィリピン人の雇用を生むことで、フィリピンに誇りを持ったブランドとなっています^^
こだわり②：貧困層に寄り添うこと（Pro-Poor）
フィリピンには、「Gawad Kalinga （GK） 」（フィリピン語で、”to give care”の意味）という、2024年までに500万家庭の貧困を終わらせることをミッションとしているフィリピン最大の国際NGOがあります。
「Human Nature」の創業者であるAnna Meloto-Wilkさんは、先ほど説明したNGO「GK」の創設者であるTony Melotoさんの娘さんです。
「Human Nature」では、原材料を農村部の低所得コミュニティから市場価格以上で調達するなどを通じて、貧困層をサポートしています^^
こだわり③：環境に優しいこと （Pro-Environment）
「Human Nature」では、少なくとも95％は天然素材の配合を約束しており、製品の多くは100％天然素材です。
たとえば、化学成分が含まれたシャンプーは、水に流すと水路を通じて、水を汚染しますよね。
「Human Nature」は、製品を使い終わったあとに環境に放出されても、生態系に害を及ぼさないと明言しています^^
また、製品のテストをするときに、実験用マウスやウサギなどを使った動物実験は一切しない！というポリシーも持っています。
